The Brewing Process

The vast majority of FBC beers are single infusion beers.

  • Malts are selected and milled, mashed and rested, recirculated to clarify the wort.
  • It is then transferred to the boil kettle where hops are added to impart flavor to the sweet wort.
  • After the boil, the wort is quickly cooled.
  • It is then transferred to a fermenter where yeast is added which converts the sugars in the wort to alcohol.
  • After the target gravity is reached the beer is carbonated and packaged for consumption.

FBC is currently brewing on a 1 Barrel system. We are excited about scaling up to a larger system soon. FBC will update our web site as this process unfolds.
